CCA Traveling Safety Award

Connell Resources was awarded the Traveling Safety Award at the 77th annual convention of the Colorado Contractor's Association (CCA) on January 5, 2010.

The Traveling Safety Award is given to CCA member companies for the best overall safety performance based on lost time injury rates and OSHA/MSHA recordable injury rates. Connell won the award for companies that logged over 400,000 hours in 2009. Our data was compiled for both Fort Collins and Steamboat Springs operations and included both OSHA and MSHA indicators. Connell experienced zero lost time injuries in 2009 and only five recordable injuries. One of the five resulted in 10 days of restricted duty. The other four required medical care but did not involve lost time or restricted duty - three of these were the result of insect stings/bites that required medical care (prescription medications).

Connell employees work hard every day to safely accomplish difficult and dangerous work. This recognition is well deserved and something that we are very proud of.
